    - Round 1. Sartison catches Kessler with a nice right hook. Kessler's legs buckle and he falls backwards. He regains his balance quickly, and his legs look stable. Stunned probably, but not really hurt I don't think. I think he's just caught cold

    - Kessler starts quite slow in this fight. There is some ring rust, his timing is a bit off, and he just eases himself in slowly. Looks a bit nervous and tense. Jab, right hand. But mostly jabs. Winning rounds 1-6 comfortably, but not doing anything amazing

    - After round 6 or so, he really opens up and shows more variety. Sartison is in running mode now, he is just trying to survive in there

    - Kessler really catches up with him in rounds 10-12, Sartison's face is battered and bruised and he's exhausted. Takes a lot of punishment. Kessler goes for the kill in 12. Left hook and right hurt Sartison, he runs again, but onto the ropes and Kessler fires punches until Sartison collapses, quite shocking. The ref calls it off as he falls

    - Typical Kessler performance, dominates pretty much every second of every round and hurt Sartison when he really wanted to. Sartison is a tough guy, good chin, better than Lockett

    That is all

And Kessler's stamina looked great. He fought at a consistent tempo, and was very strong in the later rounds, producing his best work :good

i would of gave sartison the first round
and kessler every one after, but i wasnt overly impressed with his performance ,
i thought he got hit flush far to often, maybe im not giving enough credit to sartison, but i thought with a higher workrate and better chin he would of given kessler all he could handle

    Hit flush often?

I wasn't seeing that. After that shot in the first round, and a few sporadic shots here and there Sartison hardly did **** but run

sartison did fight defencively, but he still landed whenever he threw punches and apart from the calzaghe and mundine fight this was the the most often id seen kessler get hit

on another note id like to see sartison drop down to middle if he could, hes just a bit small for 168

I think Kessler was leaning back when he got caught. Made it look worse than it was.

Still pick Kessler KO/TKO Pavlik after this?

Yep. And Kessler supports claim Pavlik has a leaky defense? Both take shots that they don't fell hurt them.

    Sure, why not

I don't think he's anywhere near his best in this fight, it was a long lay off and the timing was not so good which is important for Mikkel. He wasn't at Mundine/Andrade level, that is clear

If a fight with Haussler was made quickly so too much time isn't wasted it wouldn't be awful. He could get back into peak form. Otherwise, they can look for any of the guys at SMW and I'm confident

yeah! i think it could only help him to fight again as soon as possible
providing there is no injuries from the sartison fight (,kessler seems to be very injury prone), he definitely should fight again soon, get haussler out of the way and then look for the big fish

Those of you who saw this fight. Do you think that Kessler looked a bit slow in this fight ? I thought so.

It was an overall good performance. But I dont think this is enough to defeat Pavlik. Could be wrong.

But he was not at the Andrade level. In his fights with Beyer and Lucas he looked a lot faster, tighter more firm stand, better coordination overall. He did not look to good yesterday.

Very good to see him back though. What I dont understand is he said he was in such good shape. I personally know someone who knows the sparring partners Mikkel used up to this fight. And they said he was VERY strong up to this fight.

The way I saw it his stamina looked very good. In between rounds he looked very calm. Not gasping for air at all. Contrary to Sartison.

But there is more to boxing than just having a low resting pulse I guess.

Maybe I am reading too much into this. But Mikkel has had long layoffs before. Longer than this one. Each time he came back looking fresh and fast. But I dont think he did this time.

Kessler stated today that he sees no challenge in fighting Haùssler. So if at all possible he would avoid this fight, looking for bigger and better fighters!
