Kessler's as big a SMW as they could possibly come though. He's huge at the weight. It's a bull**** fight and an appauling one for Kessler to take at this stage of his career. He'll regret this one.
Ridiculous fight. Carl Froch should be targetting Kessler instead of wasting his breath on Calzaghe. Fight someone like Inkin and then step up!
In fairness to Froch, it's not his fault that Inkin has pulled out of two fights with him. Froch's career has frustrated me with the pace that he's been going but in all fairness to him, the knee injury and the likes of Inkin pulling out have not been his fault of late.
agree, but what about pavlik vs lockett or calzaghe vs mafredo or mundine vs soliman 2 and 3 ect ect ect just hope he gets some real action from this one on ...
Don't get me wrong I've got a lot of time for Froch, but he looks a mug chasing Calzaghe and would be much better advised to be chasing down Kessler. He needs a fight against Inkin or another contender to get some recognition I believe his style deserves. I think he'll be the next UK world champion if he can get that low hand around his head against the elite fighters.
Seriously. How much competition is there at MW for Pavlik? The SMW guys keep telling me 168 is THE division, so they couldn't come up with better than this? Plus Pavlik/Lockett was a mandatory defense, not a vacant title? Shouldn't that be between the number one and two?
Mandatory defences are also supposed to be between 1 and 2 (champ vs #1 contender) but its no surprise Lockett was the mandatory of the Warren Boxing Organisation
Agreed. But how do you not have #1 and #2 for a vacant title. Then Kessler is told he has to fight #3 or #4 later? What happened to #2. You can arugue that Miranda should not have been moved to #2 given what he has doen at SMW so far, and I won't dispute that at all.
