http://stod2sport.visir.is/?pageid=124&stod=syn They show some boxing, this is a PPV channel. See, they are showing Pac/Cotto and Ward/Kessler. Costs like £25 a month :-( German boxing is easy, ARD and ZDF are on a freeview box like you have in the UK. Only you don't get those channels unfortunately, we get a multitude of Euro bull**** and a few decent ones like Animal Planet ! Medium sized fights...no chance in hell they will be broadcasted. I'm talking the Setanta type fights. They are internet jobs.
800 k/b IIRC, great colour definition and it only struggled towards the end of the fight. That was annoying, but seemed to be caused by poor controls over the sign-in details. Looked excellent in full screen on my 19" widescreen, HD monitor. The Seconds Out stream was excellent - lower stream rate and general picture quality, but more consistent - I was able to see every punch without missing who was landing what. Rob, I'm not sure about the other issues, but I definitely had it full screen.
Thing is you can pay like £4 for a months sub to a paysite and get 800kbps and every other sporting event.
Cheers, give me no buffering over bit rate any day. The eye gets used to the quality as long as its reasonable but as soon as it starts skipping/ stopping its a real killer.
Holy **** that is a really reasonable price. Forward thinking by Primetime it might well tempt non-boxing fans into buying it. If they advertise it correctly.... Can you sky + it?
I pay for 2. It pays to have a back up when you're up until 3am waiting for a fight, I've only been let down once or twice in the last few years but it still enough of a PITA to make me play a little extra for a "plan B" jist in case.
I might change to the one that I think you use when my 3 month sub is up. No major complaints with this one, its great for Sky, all football and HBO but the Showtime one is always a bit of a letdown.
There are no holes in Ward's record, he doens't lose rounds to terrible fihters like Dirrell. Good fighter.
Excellent, do you think they'll maybe even bother to send people who order a complimentary email informing them that they have indeed ordered the thing successfully ... or will they maybe just leave it up to chance whether people get the event or not? Sorry but there's still a bad taste in my mouth with this lot since last time.
Rob about paying for a internet link from Primetime did that not crash on the Froch fight. For a round or two. Dont get me wrong if I watch a fight on the net I dont pay for it as it is pointless why pay for something when you can get it for free is my motto. 9 times out of 10 there is nothing wrong with there links.
