To put that in context as no major network has picked this fight up, in the UK we will be paying less than £6 on a ppv channel.

i think it would be cheaper for all Danish people to get a late last minute flight to anywhere in the UK and watch it here, I flew to Germany for £20 return a month a go so im sure the flight wont be too bad!

Everything is insanely expensive in Denmark compared to other places. A beer in a nightclub can easily cost you 10$.

I believe that the numbers they were looking for are between 25-50.000 buys in Denmark alone. Kessler is a big attraction here and sells ppv's but I don't know how it is doing.

I've heard that its 100euros for all tournament, but for the 1 fight its disqusting. Maybe its free on other european channels? PPv system killing this sport.

No they make sure that you can't watch it on other channels. They make that mistake once when Kessler met Marcus Beyer when it was a ppv but a german channel that we get in Denmark showed it live, so Mogen Palle lost a lot a money on that deal because he expected that the channel would be blurred while the fight was on.

Well without ppv's, the sport would't be this big. But it all comes down to the big question. If they sold 50.000 ppv's at 100 dollars, than they would have to sell 200.000 at 25 dollars instead to match the numbers. And that is a very big number for a country with only 5,5 million people

That's economics for you. Supply and demand.

A company would rather have 100,000 people watching a fight paying £15 a pop than 10-15m on peak time free TV.
