It seems we all forgot that this fight precedes Kessler-Froch. How do you see this fight unfolding? Is Ward simply too green for Kesseler? Or might be be like Andre Dirrell and surprise everyone with his skills, even if it is a losing effort?
Ward is too green, and master no skills. He has good array of skills, and will make it fairly even until the tempo gets to be too much. Kessler will be the better man on the outside, and inside. Wards defense is not nearly good enough at this level, especially against Kessler, and his power is the worst of the 6. Kessler (t)KOs Ward in middle rounds at the latest. PS sorry if the analysis is so rough, but I hate iterating myself in long posts. Maybe others will chime in.
Ward will dance on kessler all night. Kessler is a second rate pavlik. Ward has too much for kessler.
I think Ward will suprise with his skills in this tournament, just not against Kessler. Kessler is just too strong.
I agree that Ward is too gren and I do think that we will see Kessler TKO Ward. But it will happen late in the fight. The first 3-4 rounds will be cautious from both parts and Kessler will up the tempo from round 4-5-6. Kessler needs at least 4-5 rounds before Ward is done imho. It is in Oakland and Ward will fight his heart out. Kessler tko 10. its a minor disagreement/correction. Unless Ward has something that I havent seen yet.
Actually Kessler and Pavlik are similar, but Kessler is bigger, stronger, a bit quicker, and has slightly better defense. Both have very good jabs; Kessler's is a bit quicker and due to size/strength probably a bit stiffer, but KP's is more versatile. Kessler UD12 Pavlik.
In short. Pavlik has no where near the defence, footwork, jab or technical ability as Kessler has. It is a plain stupid statement just because Pavlik fights in a standup style and throws the 1-2.
The only time i've seen Kessler fight was the Calzaghe match, and at times in that match i thought he was the second coming of Mario Veit, just waiting to get knocked out, But every so often he would switch up tactics, and cause Calzaghe all sorts of problems, so just from that match i rate him highly, and i think if he fights the Ward i saw beat Miranda, I go for Kessler decision, cos ward showed he could take a punch.
Ward will dominate the first half of fight, move, use his boxing skills and upper body movement. Kessler will close the gap after 6 and tko Ward in round 10.
Ward outboxes Kessler in a packed, poppin Arena!!! then Kessler goes and beats the living **** out of Froch and takes that belt. Ward-Kessler II in the finals for unfied and king of the super middle weight division!!!
KP is more agressive and wears most of his opponents down with alot of punches. Kessler is alot more cautious in the ring and doesn´t take so many chances and doesn´t throw as many punches as KP.
