If he really said that, I'm sure its said in gest.

Kessler is always very respectful - although he is highly ambitious and confident.

Ward is a tremendous fighter and a great talent. The last American to win the Olympics. Kessler knows this of course.

I think a friend of Kessler's said "So Mikkel.. this guy will whip your but ;-)"

Kessler replied "He'll last 5 rounds.. perhaps ;-)"

Ward hasn't even had 20 fights yet. Let him build some experience a little before fighting Kessler.

Antwune Echols also failed to knock out Anthony Mundine. I guess that makes him a **** puncher too right?

Hudson's right, Kessler hasn't done **** since the Calzaghe fight. Kessler should have taken a fight with Miranda when he had a chance. That would have been a war while it lasted and made him marketable in the US

It makes him a crappy fighter that was shot and wild as hell. No one is saying that Echols was a great fighter, if he could hit you he could hurt you , but he wasnt skilled enough to land his shots. AND Mundine ran like a ***** all fight, it was funny as hell watching him run from that little guy.

Kessler/Miranda wouldn't be any type of war. It would be a one sided hammering, a war implies there is a battle.

Miranda's proven what he is. A gatekeeper.

I dont actually dislike Kessler, but im starting to hate all his fan on this site...Its sick, everytime a fighter at the weight wins a ****ing fight his fans jump in with that Kessler would do this and that to him..I just sick of it. the guy isnt fighting PERIOD and im sick of hearing his name whenever some one talks about another fighter.

Exactly. If you can hit them. Mundine stood in front of Ottke because he didn't have any respect for Ottke's 'power'. Therefore he stood square on and got caught.

Against Kessler and against most fighters, he does have that respect and so he circles and tries to keep away and not get caught square on.

It's a ridiculous statement to make, to question Kessler's punching power just becaues he didn't KO a certain good fighter. Only 1 fighter ever has. It's not like he's a journeyman getting KO'd regularly.

Manny Siaca, Sam Soliman, Danny Green, Shannon Taylor, Toshiharu Kaneyama - just a few of the fighters with more power than Ottke. Just because Ottke KO'd Mundine and they didn't, doesn't mean they can't bang.

Actually Mundine got hit on the side of the head against Ottke, when he was a novice to the game. I'd say they were the major factors.

Just because that happened years ago it does not mean a fighter can not improve and get stronger. Mundine isn't (or wasn't should I say, he seems to be losing it) that easy to hit cleanly because he had good reflexes and speed, and generally he could take shots to the chin pretty well.
