Zaggy only dominated (IMO) rd 6 and 11. 7 8 and 10 were all given to Kessler by some journalists (though never all at once). And Kessler clearly took rd 9 off.

Honestly kinda think Mundine is a little better than Ward is now, but who knows..

Yes this is the last fight of the first round.

I think Ward is better than them as well. I just think the difference is Kessler has more skins on the wall where as Ward can only tout Miranda as his big win. Ward can of course point out to his Amateur experience but many have shown us that that doesn't always carry over.

I also thought Dirrell had more potential (still do), I think Dirrell is being somewhat mismanaged though. I don't think he's ready for a tournament of this magnitude even though I'm leaning on blind homerism and picking him to finish in the Semi Finals. I wouldn't be shocked if Dirrell bows out if he loses in the first round. Dirrell is the real wild card here. He could get swept out or he could win all three. I really don't see much of a middle ground for him.

Ward has the same amount of experience that Calzaghe had when he stepped into the ring with Chris Eubank. And may I remind you that Eubank was the same age that Kessler is now, and Ward is the same age that Calzaghe was in that fight.

Also, Ward is very similar to Calzaghe: very quick and agile, hard to hit flush and throws flurries that make his opponent dizzy (Eubank could not find his corner between rounds, just like many other of Calzaghe's opponents).

Ward will beat Kessler just like a past-prime Calzaghe did.

Problem: Calzaghe is better than Ward and Kessler is better than Eubank was. JC had one fight going the distance coming into the Eubank fight and no KD's. Ward has struggled with far lesser opponents.

I totally agree about Dirrell - either he wins by brutal KO or he struggles. It's the same in all his fights. Hard to say how things will go when he faces someone who can take a tough punch.

As a Dane I am hoping for Kessler and I think he's the better man, but there's not a long resting period between the mandatory defence and the fight with Ward. If Kessler shows up with bad preparations the fight will be more difficult than he expects.

Eubank had a lot more hard fight before he met Calzaghe than Kessler. The fights with Watson, Benn and Collins had taken something out him. Kessler has only been in very few hard fights. And that's why your comparison doesn't hold water.

Kessler has only ha success at a very average level, its hard to gauge where he is.

Put it this way Everyone Kessler beat Ward would also.

    Its an even fight.

A good fight that Kessler will win, either late stoppage or close pts.

    You are Danish right?

After seeing Kessler get frustrated by some movement (instead of types like Beyer, Andrade, Haussler, Sartison etc. who just stand there in front of you) I think Ward wins.

LOL @ Kessler better than Eubank....Yes probably the shot Eubank Calzaghe faced.

Kessler is around Robin Reids level Max

Either way it a great fight...the entire comp is great....Ward is going to look great, speed, movement, combos and footwork....right up until he eats a straight right and a few uppercuts and is KTFO :yep
