Think this would be a very even fight.

woods and kessler operate at similar level. Both have good wins vs ex champs and have face the best and come up short.

Woods would have the bigger frame height reach advantage(maybe power?)

Woods wins: glenn Johnson, Julio Gonzalez(similar to andrade) and beaten some good american contenders. Elvir Miqui , Rico Hoy

Kesslers wins - Lucas, mundine, Beyer.

Woods probably has the better resume beating Johnson, Kessler may be able to do that but may struggle against a live 175lber.

A toss match up between evenly matched fighter..

I go Kessler SD ....pulls it out in the last 2 rounds having tasted the canvas from a body shot from Woods...the younger legs help him accross the finish line

also who out of these 2 faced the toughest ?better resume?

    Woods faced: Jones(close to prime)
    Johnson x 2
    Tarver
    gonzalez x 2

    Kesslers: Calzaghe

Woods has obviously fought better opposition, Jones wins that alone.

As for this fight currently I don't like Woods chances. He looks like his best days are gone to me, judging by his fight against the solid but unspectacular Muriqi and how bad his performance was against Tarver.

Woods was a decent fighter with good all-round abilities but his best days are gone, the extra youth and polished skills would see Kessler to the win. Hell, I think Cloud will beat Woods should they meet next.

Kessler just has to much for Woods and would stop him late with Woods on his feet covering up.

I thought Woods fought Johnson 3 times?

Anyway at this point Kessler would be too much for Woods,Clinton looked horrendous against Tarver altough he kinda looked good vs Muriqi. It's obvious he is past his best but could Kessler get in top shape with all his problems?Even so he would prolly beat Woods.
Still amazed how Woods looked against Tarver, complete garbage in a winnable fight.

it is even...both operate at similar level...woods has fought at a higher level for longer.

Kessler is younger this makes it 50/50

both r good solid pros nothing more nothing less

I tend to agree that Kessler is a class above. I believe Briggs would have beaten Woods
