He should start teaching himself a decent uppercut..

And give himself one whilst he's there.

I thought he and Joe would both do this a year or so ago. It'd make sense for Kessler to follow Joe to 175, even if he doesn't fight Joe there.

Dawson/Kessler would be bigger than any fight he could get at 168 now. The only name left for him at 168 is really Bute, Mundine would be a bigger challenge than Bute but he already has him on his resume.

How have ya been anyway? Whats happening to your Bulldogs?!?! They're self destructing. :p

How can you say that when Mundine has been out injured lately while Mikkel just fought the #1 guy in this division ?

How can you say that when since their first fight, Mikkel unified with Beyer, had a "tough" fight with Andrade and put a good effort in loosing to JC, while since their first fight, Mundine beat Green, Soliman and a bunch of bums from Argentina ?

IMHO, it looks more as if the gap was made wider by Mundine's lack of quality opposition.

I havn't just said it I have been saying it since they first fought. Its not who he has fought it is HOW he has fought, the difference is plain as day.

The rematch will prove me right.

Kessler isn't moving up - he makes weight without much effort, so it makes little sence to move up. The biggest makeable fight isn't Dawson - it's Hopkins/Taylor/Pavlik - and he doesn't have to move up to do that. Also good american-TV opponents like Bika, Miranda and Lacy are in SMW. Plenty of fights to be made and plenty of belts to take.

So you think Kessler looked worse versus Beyer/Andrade/Calzaghe?

Mundine fights with more confidense versus lesser opponents - if he does that versus Kessler he is going down. Kessler is going to beat him from the distance and if he moves in close Kessler will take him there as well - The Calzaghe-fight showed that Kessler has exellent skills "inside" - where he actually dominated Calzaghe.

Kessler will come in top-shape - he wouldn't be as slow as in the first Mundine-fight and he'll have more air. He'll take an even more wide decision or KO-win... 119-109 for Kessler giving the first round to Mundine on hometown advantage :smoke

Agree with this. Why move up in weight when he could dominate the current division. Both Dawson and JC are better then him also. He could certainly beat Pavlik and Taylor though.

I think Pavlik is most certainly beatable, thats what I like about him. He puts it on the line and he goes to win convincingly but also gives chances to his opponants to have their moments.

I think Taylor II is a 50-50 fight to be honest, other than that he cleans out middle.

I honestly reckon Choc, Zaghe and Kess all take him at supermiddle though.

Sure, i can see how you would think all that, but im saying now, i think Pavlik is the truth and wont be beaten for at least 3 years :good

Oh all except Mundine beating him.....are you kidding me?????

    Oh hell yeah :rasta

It would be a hard fight for Mundine but I just dont see any more speed or fluidity (is that a word?? ) in Pavlik than in Green.

I think thats why Mundine schooled him so bad, Danny was to slow to land clean and not fluid enough for Mundine to be unable to read or time him.

Im not 100% sure if Pavlik can keep up such a brutal pace for 12 aswell, no one has been good enough to go into the later rounds.

Its good for boxing if Pavlik stays unbeaten though (or for you and me anyway), he is great to watch and wants the best.

Mundine could potentially beat Pavlik, although Pav puts his punches together better then Danny IMO. Choc would have to make sure he doesn't go into his shell too much, otherwise he might risk getting outworked.
