Froch wobbles stuns hurts Kessler in 5 rounds and Kessler wins 7 rounds he wins Frochs body of work in the rounds he won was more impressive but thats not winning the fight kind of like Dirrel losing to Froch but looking very good in some of the rounds he did win Froch for some reason was backing up not throwing the majority of the Kessler fight but when he came forward throwing he hurt Kessler bad
I had a yank poster over and he's a real hard-core fan. We went together and he said that it was the greatest athmosphere he ever witnessed. Of course it might to an extent have been courtesy, but that was really an electric fight.
I'm not sure what the point of this thread is. If we all started listing fights where the winner took a beating on his way to victory, we'd need our own section in the forum.
It was a good fight but neither took an ass whooping. I scored it 116-112 Kessler and I think he won it with the early body work. When Froch forced exchanges in the latter part of the fight Kessler generally did better because he could throw more and he retained more speed and pop. Froch's body took a pounding in the first four.
Kessler had him rocked a few times so did Dirrell. Also Ward rattled him a few times and Taylor made him do a spilt when he dropped him.
Crap excuse when Froch himself said as he landed that he was absolutely fine and that the volcano nonsense wasn't a problem. He was asked as he got off the plane. Maybe he had hurt his toe, maybe?
This is clearly all im saying. Froch won his rounds clearly & more dominant, while Kessler had to grind his way to win his rounds. If Froch stepped it up, he could have won the fight
I thought Froch won the first time I watched it. I thought he was more effective in the exchanges.. in the later rounds Kessler punches didn't have the same snap, while Froch's were stronger.
I loved that fight, two proper fighters going at it, I had Kessler by one point though, i think that was "Kesslers last stand" so to speak but i hope not I think he's good for the sport.
I remember scoring it 1 point to froch the first time round, then a draw the second time. Either way it wa a ****ing amazing fight.
OH YEAH!!:bbb:bbb:bbb [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdC6kpCzKsg&feature=feedlik[/ame] I had it a draw, but no problem for me if Kessler got the nod
the body punching from kessler is what i believe slow froch down in a few rounds, he even complained to his corner about the body punching.
