Kessler was never the same fighter since the calzaghe loss

The point is that Kessler wasn't **** to begin with. Just an undefeated guy with a cool tat who feasted on bums.

 

Okay first...his tattoo was never cool.

SECOND he had some good names on his resume. Nothing great but definitely some good names there. He also had a lot of skills, the problem being his skills were easy to expose by a specific kind of fighter.

Hopkins looked at the people and shrugged "Who the f___ is Kessler?"

What a load of crap... Have you seen his fights since Calzaghe?
He hammered Sartison for 12 rounds, knocked hausler out cold.
And Perdomo? You really claim he was outboxing Kessler?
You obviously havent watched this fight, perdomo was nowhere near winning any round against the dane.
Instead he was hammered the first time Kessler got a chance..

You are abit on the biased side too. He hammered Sartison for 11 rounds. He was stunned in the 1st and lost that one. Perdomo wasn't outboxing Kessler, but his akwardness did give him fits for a round or three. I had it even thru 3 (1 Perdomo, 2 Even, 3 Kessler) and i am a Kessler fan. He just had to figure him out though, and it was all over.

he sure as **** ruined lacy's career. he went from being highly rated to a bum in one fight.

and i think we are using the word "ruin" as in "exposed their weakness to the rest of the world".

Kessler is debatable - a loss to Froch would ruin Kessler, not that Froch is a poor fight just that people will say Kessler is B- Level and loses to any B fighter or better (froch, ward, calzaghe).

 

As you said, I think this fight will give the best read on Kessler. Froch is more the type of opponent that MK is used to facing and beating. I don't think he was ever great, but he was never a bum either. Still isn't.

I also wouldn't say that Lacy was ruined by JC, but that night was the night he got shown to be as limited as he was. It would have happened eventually, as soon as he stepped it up, and did again later on(Taylor). In hindsight he is rated as a bum, but if he had gone on to do anything of note, it would've been seen as a case of a good fighter running into a superior fighter.

 

Kessler will be back don't count him out

truth is he was never great

 

you cant judge him on one fight, if he beats Froch people will be singing his praises again
