mogens palle was quoted in extrabladet (danish newspaper) as saying "miranda is not in kessler's league" and then taking the sartisan fight because he had 'a belt'.

miranda was even quoted on 'fightnews.com' taunting kessler after mogens palle rejected the fight.

i also want to know about kessler's "passport problems" and how that relates to him getting fights post-calzaghe as you imply.

I'd like to see Kessler v Dawson. If he's fighting dead beat mandatories to hold onto a belt though - that is perhaps very unlikely to happen.

kessler and froch have never beaten a tarver so you're more likely to get kessler - froch.

that's a common sense fight for me since both guys need a lift internationally - especially froch.

    why should kessler move up.

he should stay put and unify.

hopkins weighed 170 last time out.

surely he can get 2 pounds off.

hops has never won a title at 168 either.

hopefully HBO make it attractive to hopkins and he goes for it. :bbb

Oh I'd like to see Kessler froch as well, I just think Kessler perhaps needs to move it up a notch (he cant have that long left), and Dawson is perhaps just that.

Kessler doesn't have that long left, and imo he has a good record at beating Froch level fighters at SM - why more of the same.

*thats not to say that Froch may not do more, but the jury is still out*

i DON'T KNOW much about kessler but he's only 28 and apart from the Calzaghe fightswould you say he's been in wars.

kessler's only 29 so he has a few years but he does need to put pressure on palle to stop messing around with bogus 'title defences'.

a win over froch (or the other way around) would be a much more solid stepping stone for both fighters.

froch needs to deliver against pascal first.

    that fight ain't a gimme.

inkin will probably be given a few soft defences so he's out.

bute fight won't happen yet either.

    especially after last night. :yep

hops or froch/pascal winner it is then hopefully. :bbb

Moving up now would be insane.

Kessler is a meduim sized SMW. He is 6'1", while for example both fighters in yesterdays' SMW fight Bute and Andrade are 6'2" or more.

Taylor is 6'1" and have longer reach than Kessler.

Bernard is a third head taller than Calzaghe hwo is same size as Kessler. A real LHW like Dawson is 6'3" or more!

There is more action in SMW than LHW and Kessler will do the same Calzaghe and Hopkins have done. IF he is successful at SMWand feels he cannot achieve more there then he will move up and test the waters when he is 35-36 or so.

Again you dont know what you are talking about my friend.

Palle actually boycottet the Haussler fight. He felt Haussler was not a worthy mandatory challenger and refused to submit a purse offer for the fight saying that if it was in Denmark, Haussler could get seriously hurt and that could start a public discussion about the legality of boxing. Even at yesterdays press conference in GERMANY he restated that he thought their man was unqualified for the fight!

Kessler wants Pavlik, Taylor, Hopkins etc.
    Palle wants them too.
It seems HBO wants them too.

Problem is do they want to fight Kessler? So far the answer has been no - too dangerous.

What Bute, Froch, Taylor - wow (hardly an established bunch). He's 30 in March.
