Can't deny that I'm absolutely gutted, but I have to agree that I did score the fight to Kessler and he is the rightful winner.

Just seems as though Froch could have done more. It was a great fight and I'm not going to slate Froch for losing in such a spectacle, but I personally think he lost to a lack of ring IQ and hand speed. He was throwing telegraphed punches, which whilst didn't prove to be his undoing in leaving himself open, didn't win him the rounds he required as Kessler didn't gas out and kept applying pressure.

I hate to say it, but Froch does leave himself exposed to critics here. Kessler put in a great performance, but Froch will find it harder against the likes of Ward and Dirrell. I think he'd do well to keep his hands higher, not so much to prevent him from taking so many punches, but more to nullify what would be a point winning offense and also to keep his hands in a more appropriate position to let them go.

    Still, gutted....
