Kessler's and Hopkins' dominating wins further elevate Joe Calzaghe's status

The Hopkins of old was not regarded in the p4p lists until he beat Trinidad, I believe. Correct me if i'm wrong. Yet he is now. Calzaghe was constantly derided for not facing a p4p fighter or fighting in a higher weight class of fighting in America or fighting a legend/future HoF'er. He did all of these in one fight against Hopkins. Now it's " He hasnt fought a p4p'er in his prime".

Calzaghe is not in his prime now. Prime Calzaghe was 2000-2004. Yes, he fought sub standard competition during that period. But that's when he had less hand problems (he still had them) and was able to hit with more authority. Calzaghe just happens to be having the most important fights of his career lately, that's all.

Because Calzaghe wasn't even worth it at the time cause nobody would of cared to see it, and Hopkins wouldn't gotten credit for the victory cause Joe hadn't done **** up until that point. And Hopkins has always negioated on his own terms.

hopkins didnt exhange more with calzaghe cos he knew joe would get the better of him that way. the only chance hopkins had was to spoil, hold, go in head 1st, bide time and ultimately cheat!!! no hopkins fan can deny that

You're making the point that if Calzaghe - Hopkins were to fight again, Hopkins would throw more and therefore win. I think that's what you're trying to say anyway. If it is:

That's only your opinion and you are of course, entitled to it. My opinion is that if they fight again, the exact same thing will occure. Calzaghe and Hopkins will negate each others tactics and it'll end in a controversial decison for either man. The only difference is that if Calzahe again edges Hopkins, it'll be qucikly lauded as a poor performance over a way past it fighter. Whereas if Hopkins wins it, it'll be thought of as a great win over the p4p no 3 undefeated future HoF'er.

Calzaghe if he decides to fight on should fight Dawson. He gave Hopkins a fight already and the styles didnt mesh so it made for an ugly spectacle. Very few people will want to see that fight again. Me included.
