The bottom line is this. Calzaghe is a world class fighter who has beat in his way. Like him or not, any other opinion isnt based on sound thinking.

 

I agree, this is kind of like elevating Jones' legacy by virtue of Hopkins and Toney's performances since they lost to Jones.

 

Yup, lets see if he takes the rematch with Hopkins. Hopkins beats him even more convincing in the rematch and we can throw some bread on it, if you like.

 

That's fine, of course you have to realize that one guy (Hopkins) is clamoring for the rematch, and the other guy (Calzaghe) wants no part of it. I say that's for a reason. You're saying that the same thing would happen again. I'm saying that Hopkins couldn't miss Calzaghe in the first fight, and would throw many more punches in the rematch. That's a working formula. I have zero doubt of the outcome, but you're fully entitled to your view.
