I never made a suggestion of where Kessler was at that I recall. It was more a commentary on how washed up Allan Green
Did Greeny take that much of a beating in that fight? I seem to remember him battling Glenncoffee 2 sugars and cream pretty much on even terms until either getting stopped on his feet or in the process of wobbling up.
I forgot about the fight just rewatched the end he got nailed by a solid right on his way down but did get up. byrd waved it, green probably could have went on but doubt he would escape the round
One of my all-time favorite KO's, I posted it several times on some of the best KO threads that get put up every once in awhile. It's right up there with Abraham-Gevor and Martinez-Williams in terms of sheer beauty.
great KO, besides this Kessler also showed what he could do at full potential, picking up a secondary belt at LHW like his rival joe calzaghe. Mikk was cut down in this prime by Lyme disease in 2016, if he hadnt got that he could have got on to better things.
It wasn't during, but after the Super 6 Green replaced Taylor and then had to fight Ward in a fight with only 12 clinches, starting on second one of each round and ending at 3:00 of each. Then he got stopped by the other replacement Glen Johnson and left the tourney 0-2. The Kessler fight was after the tourney had already ended.
aye a LHW bout no less. Kessler proved he could climb to 2nd tier at least at LHW. its a shame he didnt stay longer he might have done more at LHW...although bear in mind he came from being MW half his career, so no easy feat.
