There's good reason to worry! Haussler is ranked #3 at WBA with Kessler as OC. And given that Palle actually managed to move Miranda up to #2...

Let's hope I'm just being paranoid!

My hope would be Inkin or Braemer

    Inkin is badly injured!!!:deal

If Kessler fights Haussler, he'll have few fans left...I said I wouldn't be a fan of Bute if he fought Haussler...:verysad

If that is true (please dont be), there can be no arguing - Kessler has outgrown Palle to the point of embarassment. Danilo lost twice to inferior danes.

Even a new belt can be bought to expensive.

Palle badly needs to get kessler an, at least decent matchup.

Braehmer or Froch would after all fullfill that.

Well Froch is fighting Saturday so that rules him out, Inkin is injured, Mundine is apparently fighting Soliman this month, Pascal is apparently fighting Zuniga next month, Lacy and Tsypko are apparently fighting this month aswell. Can't see Bute giving him a shot at his IBF title, don't think it will be Andrade again as Kessler destroyed him, Manfredo only fought this month, Miranda is scheduled to fight Abraham.

That therefore leaves Taylor, Bika, Green and Berrio. I don't think Taylor would go to Denmark, don't think Green would either although maybe if he got to fight Kessler.

I think either Bika though as he's a tough opponent and will travel anywhere, or Berrio as he may of put of his fight with Froch to fight Kessler although I doubt it as he probably wouldn't turn down the chance of a title.

Therefore by process of elimination I would say Sakio Bika. :)

Yeah I think a stay busy fight with Bika could be filed as decent as well.
There is one problem though, I think that bout somehow would involve HBO or Showtime, Palle states that american television isnt involved.

Isnt Froch fighting another dead body that theoretically would allow him to be okay for a 21/6 Kessler showdown.

Nah, I withhold my initial thoughts. I hope for Braehmer but fear for Huassler.

This whole thing is confusing. I mean - theyve stated that the fight will be a titlefight. Theyve stated that Kesslers opponent will be a very well known fighter.

    Meanwhile HBO wont show it...
    :huh

    Who fits into this category?

None of the dudes availible - only Taylor, Miranda or partly Froch.

    Dawson? No way.

    Mundine? No way.

but what about Winky Wright? What is he doing? Could he get a title shot at 168? blah blah blah.

It will most likely be a nobody.

Yeah one fears that - I thought Bettina Palle stated world class though.

    Well-known, hmm, thats very bad.

I mean Eddie The Eagle he was kind of well-known wasnt he?

Like Winky would go to Denmark to fight at a (relatively small) venue like Brondby Hallen to fight with no US TV. And Sakio Bika isn't close to being ranked high enough for a title fight...
I still don't think Inkins injury is serious enough to put him out of a june 21 fight so we can only hope. But Haussler looks increasingly (worryingly) likely...

They siad it would LEAD to him getting world class fighters...

The WBA 175 title is out of the question. No1 Barashian is fighting official challenger Garay for the vacant title.

So we should search in the SMW divison. Haussler or maybe Green?

Do promoters really have this much control over their boxer?

I'd have to say, depends. Pavlik seems to have put his faith in Arum and it has paid off for him. When he says "whoever they put in front of me" I think he means it. I'm sure he believes he beats ANYONE at 160 right now. I'm sure there are talks going on all the time so everyone is on the same page, but I think Pavlik is a perfect example of "I do my job, you do yours". It is Arum's job to get the best fight/money/career moves lined up.

I don't know, but I get the feeling that Bhop and Winky are more involved in picking and choosing.

I get the impression Kessler rubber stamps Palle's moves and tries to get behind them. And lets be honest. Until recently this has worked well for him. I'm sure Kessler felt he would beat Calzaghe. Palle has made a mess of things 'post Calzaghe' up till now, but like DK? said, tomorrow may tell.
