WBO or WBC? Making it mandatory to defend it against Froch later this year!

But then...it wouldn't be a title fight...it would be an eliminator.

No... A title fight... Paying Froch to step away... Giving him the notion to be the first challanger for the winner!

Froch is not taking step aside money. He is desperate to win the belt to claim Calzaghe is ducking him.

Well it actually makes some sense, as it seems Froch and Kessler is the match-up right now for the WBC title. So waiting 3-4 months fighting Kessler or Taylor and getting paid in the process is not that dumb at all.

The winner of Kessler and Taylor would be a bigger name for it, and would make for a bigger fight for Froch than of now!

But he would be fighting for the small end of the purse then. It had better be big $$$$ to step aside. I don't see it myself.

Yeah it is all about speculation! But there is no logical opponent based on the press-release :think

I am hoping for Taylor one way or another!

P2K is still into hyping the Abraham/Miranda fight. He has been a little quite since yesterday though. ;) Seriously, Abraham would have to have a partner before this swap could be made. AND if they wanted to do this, they could have ducked Abraham at the last minute, ALA PALLEA. Also, Miranda REALLY wants his revenge against Abraham. Isn't this unfounded speculation crap fun?

I will guess SMW WBA belt since Palle seemed to be able to get that list revised to his liking before. So, does it come down to who they can get moved to number two in place of Miranda? And all of the people saying Miranda doesn't deserve the shot.......

    SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT:
    Removals:
#10 Vitaly Tsypko - due to inactivity (2007-09-29).
#15 Kariz Kariuki - lost to non-rated fighter by KO2.
    Entries:
#12 Marcus Johnson - record and caliber (14-0-0) 11ko (USA).
#14 Allan Green - record an caliber (26-1-0) 18ko (USA).
#15 Victor Oganov - won over rated contender Kairuki and became new Super
    Middleweight regional champion (PABA).
    Promotions:
#1 Mikkel Kessle - up one slot to become the number one contender and
mandatory challerger approved by the Championship Committee.
#2 Edison Miranda - up four slots due to his record and caliber.
#6 Jean Paul Mendy and #7 Jean Pascal - up one slot due to Miranda promtion.
#8 Stjepan Bozic - up three slots due to Tsypko leaving and activity.
#10 Mads Larsen and #11 Lukas Wilaschek - up two slots due to Tsypko
    leaving and Bozic promotion.

I think the Abraham-Miranda rematch is hype. I can't see why Abraham should be willing going to the states fighting Miranda at super-middleweight. And why should Miranda be willing to fighting Abraham when no title is at stake?

It is stated that the bout is subject to commission approval/change.
And Miranda would prefer a title shot.
