He is still one of the best known names in SMW in the states. Froch doesn't have a belt either, nor Taylor.

The belt holders do not want to face Kessler yet it seems. Even Calzaghe won't have a rematch. So when Mundine and Bute doesn't want to, and Calzaghe is trying to build to his legacy by beating legends in Light Heavy - the best thing would be to beat bigger names.

If Miranda cancels the fight with AA, then it might be him.

Lacy won't fight Kessler and shouldn't fight Kessler. Lacy is coming back after a long layoff with a shoulder injury and is trying to re-establish confidence.

Kessler should fight Larsen, use that fight as a spring board to a belt.

Calzaghe doesn't need to face Kessler again, he beat him decisively, it would make more sense for a Hopkins rematch to happen.

Froch, Taylor and Miranda are all rated high enough to get a shot at either Calzaghes or Mundines belts.

Lacy is just within top ten.

    Remember.
They said it was a title fight and against a superstar.

As far as I know, DiBella has said that he wants a fight with Kessler, but both Taylor and Mikkel needs a tuneup.

Has Calzaghe vacated his belts at SMW? If not then it can only be Dawson at 175, if you think of a superstar.

Lacy has still only lost to Calzaghe, even if he hasn't been convincing afterwards.

Actually Dawson came to mind. But I think it must be Miranda, Taylor or Froch as I assume its at smw.

Or maybe a rematch with Joe? :yep

I thought Calzaghe for a while - the amount of money that is involved could be too good to pass for Warren. But to most people in the states, Kessler is just some overhyped eurobum, and I am convinced that Calzaghe will rather build on his legacy by beating big names. So all in all - I don't really think that Calzaghe wants to "risk" a rematch, when the gain is so small, other than the monetary situation.

Could be Froch, but is he a superstar? I don't believe so - he is the Denis Inkin of the division. No surprise that they were scheduled to fight twice. They are 2 undefeated SMWs that are trodding quicksand. Much like the Zolt Erdeis of SMW.

It's not Miranda. He has a date with Showtime and Abraham.
And I can guarentee you that Lou ain't sending JT over to Denmark!

That wouldn't be necessary - Kessler is not afraid to travel.

Mikkel is not a big selling fighter so I don’t see him getting a big name American. Which means look at the Euro market, which big name fighters are available? Brahmer is considered a big name in Europe, as is Bute.

Has to be one of those two, I feel, Bute hasn’t fought since Feb so could be ideal for a June/July fight.
