I think we have to judge MKs KO power by making a distinction.

    1) If his target is more or less standing still for just enough time for MK to get his foot-position correct there is enough power in him to take out the strongest opponent.

    2) In a foot-position where he has to draw all the power from his upper body alone I don't think one can claim (based on previous fights) that he has KO power. In the latter sense he is no KO boxer.

Echols and Green, both KO artists didn't knock Mundine out. So how is that a gauge on if a guy is a strong puncher or not?:huh

Im sorry but i have to compare to Calzaghe again...They are both so great that they dont have to rely on the KO, im sure that Kessler could have had a couple more KO´s insteed of TKO´s or ud´s but he has played it pretty save...He always seems to have huge respect for his opponents, and never take any huge risks.

Well that might be the topic starters stand onit, but that has little bearing on is power from just one fight, in general he is way over rated in the power stakes, he has decent power but i tell you now he has little or no chance of knocking out Calzaghe, if somone is going to knock Calzaghe out they need bombs and Kessler has far from bombs in his hands.

Very well said. I think we'll see a lot more than punching power from Mikkel Kessler on Nov 3rd. Not saying he'll beat Calzaghe, but Joe will have to contend with much more than a slightly overrated punch.

Kessler is probably the most skilled fighter Calzaghe has faced so it'll be interesting to see how he copes if Kessler starts giving him big problems that he's never faced before. Of course, the converse applies.

Yeah. Good point. Kessler's opponents seem to "forget" that a lot. Wonder why:think

Yep, he tried another approach this time using a lot of incorrect spelling, but people saw right through him anyway.
Perhaps I really shouldn't laugh of him, because I think the guy needs help to be honest with you.
