I'm disappointed that Ward is fighting Kessler so soon. He has alot of potential but imo Kessler is too big a step too soon. He is still a live underdog though.

Ward wins an uninspiring victory against a poor version of gatekeeper Miranda (through excessive holding which the ref should have addressed earlier) and suddenly he is the next Sugar Ray Robinson. Froch and Kessler would beat the beJesus out of the SOG. LOL

I didn't leap over to ****, Calzaghe was never one of my favourites, although i respect his accomplishments.

Calzaghe-Kessler was a competitive fight, very even through the first half. Kessler staggered Calzaghe on a couple of occasions. Kessler was more effective against him than anybody except for Hopkins in recent years.

Kessler beat some solid contenders like Mundine and Andrade in very dominating fashion, and easily destroyed long-time contender Beyer in 3 rounds.

Does all this make him an ATG? **** no. Does it legitimize him as probably the best SMW in the world? **** yeah!

IF Mikkel Kessler was born in the USA,he would have a big fanbase overthere.
Kess have lost once...And now that he can fight, he might end up being a great boxer even in the USA...

 

I believe Kessler is far and away the best SMW in the world and that this tournament is his big chance to prove it. Time will tell, but I think he's MUCH better than given credit for.

nope. Ward has the hand speed, footwork, switching of stances, hes gonna give Kessler alot of trouble. you guys act like Kessler has been fighting tough competition, HES BEEN FIGHTING CUPCAKES!!! Miranda is a better win then anybody on Kesslers resume, and Kessler ran from Miranda, but he cant RUN from Ward!!
