Kessler is not quick. Kessler resume is the shittiest of any of the fighters mentioned above. The clown pulled out of a miranda fight. He has no merit or credibility to be on the platform with the accomplished.

You say he's not quick, well he's a lot quicker than Pavlik. Taylor has slightly faster hands but his footwork and punching technique are nowhere near as good

Head to head he beats Pavlik and Taylor with very comfortable UD's and possibly stops Jones. Yeah their resumes are better than his. That won't mean **** once the bell rings

This is the type of logic that caused so many people to write off Margarito's chances against Cotto. "Oh Margarito hasn't beat anyone Cotto's resume is 10 times better he'll embarrass Margarito." The board was filled with posts like that, by people who completely ignored each boxer's styles and attributes.

 

No mention of Dawson, who is P4P higher than all of them bar Calzaghe and maybe Hopkins.

Kessler loses to every elite fighter out there.

Right now at 175, that includes Dawson, Hopkins, and Calzaghe.

 

In late 2009, Kessler needs to fight Bute, point blank.

 

It's up to Bute to keep fighting and winning to get his name out there.

Right now Kessler has no interest in fighting Bute because there is no money or recognition to gain from that fight.

If Bute could beat guys like Andrade, Green, Ward/Dirrell in the next 6-12 months. A fight with Kessler could be possible.

Bute just ened to get his name out there in the USA.

I actually believe Taylor and pavlik would beat kessler. Im not saying those fights would be easy but i just dont think kessler is that good.

 

:good I agree!!!!!! Hes some what like Pavlik but Pavlik got more heart cause he would fight anybody. Fearless:bbb I got problems with Kessler just not fighting quality so im just bothered by the fact he doesnt want the real fights

 

If Kessler wants any of those fights, he'll need to do something to make his name bigger stateside. Casual boxing fans still have no clue who he is. If he can get a lower level fight against a more known name (Edison Miranda maybe?) it would help his cause considerably.

 

seriously he is in a catch22 right now. He's been badly promoted. Neither the guys with less clout nor the guys with more clout have much of an advantage in fighting him. He should've jumped on the Miranda occasion when it was presented to him.

You live and die by your choices, and Kessler's team made a really bad one.

 

I think he could beat 4 outa five.

Id like to see him fight Taylor after he beats Lacy, I think his promoter will hold him back though...

I wonder how any on ESB that state that he hasn't got heart, can't box for **** and ducks a fight everytime he gets the chance and actually have seen more than the 3-4 of fights of my man Kessler.

 

Kessler would make it competitive against Calzaghe and B-hop but I wouldnt favour him over either. But its close to 50/50 in both fights.
Dawson is more like a 60/40 favourite (and btw Dawson is being so overrated after the fight against Tarver - Tarver is jack ****).

Taylor, pavlik, RJJ and Bute will imo get schooled by Kessler.

RJJ is ****in shot - how can anyone forget?
Pavlik is a slow but heavyhanded dude with no defence.
Taylor is a lesser version of Kessler in every skill, but speed.
Bute hasnt faced anyone good yet and lets see if he gets past Andrade first.


Its Team Kesslers own fault that he is being underrated by this forum. But underrated he is.

 

I think you're mixing up Mikel Kessler, the guy that went to Australia to fight Mundine in his own backyard and went to Cardiff to fight Calzaghe in his own backyard in front of 60,000, with someone else.
