Whatever, it's not about what Miranda needs, it's about what Kessler needs, and in order for him to get bigger fights against the big money Americans, he needs to fight some guys who are known stateside where he can at least get televised. Edison Miranda is about as safe as it would get for him to help establish his name a bit more over here, unless he can somehow get a Jeff Lacy fight.
Calzaghe:''Who beat Lacy?Who beat Kessler?'' Hopkins:''Kessler?Man that guy isn't in my league,he is a nobody'' NO IT WOULDN'T BE GREAT
The question wasn't about resume, it was about his willingness to take on tough fights. Kessler has proven he will take on anyone, anywhere. Compare that to the hyped American fights around the same weight: Dawson - dumped his title because his mandatory was scheduled to be in Romania. Taylor - ducked a title shot against Froch to fight an elimator for the same title shot. Which he will then duck again in the future, especially if the fight is scheduled for Nottingham. Pavlik - does anyone imagine he would go to Germany to fight Abraham?
i know boxing regardless of where i live....and my point was he has fought enough no name guys...he should be trying for big fights against big names...... unlike his next opponent....another Euro CHAMP
yet none of those guys you just mention want to come here and fight any of the americans..... last time i checked, the u.s. was where the money was at. ever heard of Las Vegas?
Umm, what? Abraham's last fight was in the US, Diaconu would have taken his shot against Dawson in the US if Dawson's people had won the purse bid (assuming Dawson didn't still run) and I'm sure you'll see Froch stateside at some point if his career moves forward. So, total fail, sorry.
He beats Pavlik & Taylor, probably Jones aswell. Calzaghe and Hopkins are too much at this stage though.
Hopkins vs Kessler just ain't happening,I'd like to watch it but Bernard is not gonna take a bad style matchup for him now,Kessler is too young, strong, skilled, fast, ain't gonna happen:bart
