Hmmm... I can't see there being a KO. I think it will be close and controversial, perhaps like the Taylor fights...

Never going to happen. Kesslers management allegedly offered Hopkins $4million to fight Kessler in Denmark and he replied that he doesn't even want to talk about Mikkel Kessler.

Kessler shows no ability to adapt to his opponent. Just look at the Calzaghe fight. In the early rounds, he looked okay, having a few good moments vs Calzaghe.. but Calzaghe adapted to Kessler's style and ended up schooling him in the second half of the fight. While Joe was able to make mid-fight adjustments, Kessler had no answer at all for Joe. Kessler never had a plan B. Once Joe figured out the timing of his 1-2's, he was predictable and Joe ate him up. Kessler is a robot... jab, right hand.. jab, right hand... a brilliant tactician like Hops wouldn't lose to Kessler, even NOW.

Let's not pretend Kessler is Joe. And even Joe BARELY beat Hopkins at his old age. Kessler doesn't have Joe's workrate, handspeed, adaptability or the overall skills and multiple dimensions to throw punches from all angles, to use footwork, etc. Bernard would school this robot like he schooled the similarly robotic Pavlik.

And this fight would never ever happen anyway. I mean seriously.. who the hell is Kessler and what has he done recently (some may even argue EVER)? Why the hell would Bernard ever waste his time with this guy?

Pretty much spot on, though a bit harsh calling Kessler and Pavlik robots. They're still very good fighters, but not on the same level as the JC's and BHop's of this world

Styles make fights - Hopkins refuses to fight Kessler because he knows Kessler has physical strenghth that would make it difficult for Hopkins to hold, clich etc. He turned down a fight with Kessler and called out Froch for a reason (even before he fough Pavlik he predicterd that Kessler would beat Pavlik btw). To call Kessler a robot is simply a case of you not picking up the subtleties in Kesslers style. Sure, he doesn't dance around (except perhaps the Andrade fight) like some amateurish showoff, but he doesn't have to.

Against Calzaghe he adapted well for the first half of the figt, but then he ran out of steam. Adaptability had nothing to do with it and Calzaghe got F***ed up by Kessler in the final round. Hardly what I would call "eating Kessler up".

    Hopkins.

I'd watch it but I don't want to see it. Doesn't particularly make sense, either.

Fot the record, Joe din't "barely" beat Hopkins. People forgot the days when clinching cost you rounds. Check out how the commentators during Ali-Frazier I kept mentioning that the cliches count against the one who initiates them. Apparently, Ruiz and Hatton have corrupted public oppinion on this matter.

i'd go with kessler, after sticking that jab in bernards face all night, and the guy who claimed Kessler didnt adapt against joe. Maybe it was because he broke his hand in round 6/7?
