Wow I think I am going to be sick to my stomach after the reading responses in this thread. It sickens me to see how much ESB classic section underrates Stanley Ketchel. Its pathetic. 1. How exactley you can say Ketchel is "Crude" when we have a severe lack of footage on the man?? 2. Funny how you call ketchel's film performance against papke "horrible" when in fact he cleary outpoints a HALL OF FAMER. He must be doing something right. You guys really need to study stanley closely. Not only does he have freak of nature speed and power and arsenal of punches, he also is quite cagey in his own right. The ultimate offensive fighter. Also, Stanley ketchell NEVER drew the color line. He fought the two best black heavywweights of the era in there primes who were both much bigger, and hurt them both. He absolutley dominated the middleweight scene of the era. Maybe only 1 or 2 middleweights in history would be able to go toe to toe with him and survive. This in itself eliminates many of the middleweights through history.
I feel all of them would beat Ketchel. Greb would cut and slash Ketchel to a 15 round decision. Hagler would take Ketchel's best shots and keep on coming. He'd outland Ketchel easily. Monzon would hang in there for the full 15. Tiger would be the one guy I could see Ketchel stopping, though Tiger had a solid chin and was a warrior. Robinson would outbox Ketchel and it wouldn't even be close.
Have a fkn cry you sook!! Blow ya nanna's bag pipes. "..lack of footage".. followed up by opinions of Ketchels 'freak of nature handspeed, power and arsenal of punches'... you idiot. C'mon.. the visable films of Ketchel and Papke are very dull. Very boring to watch.
