There was a thread on this topic a few weeks ago. I posted a news review. It was mostly Langford, but Ketchel had a very good 6th round to close the show.
stanley ketchell was a tough mother ****a. He was the only white dude of that era to put up a fight against sam langford. Not only a fight, but a dead even fight. Ketchell also floored and hurt jack johnson. I think ketchell is extremley underated for many other reasons I didnt state. No other white fighter of that era would get in the ring with a peak jack johnson and peak sam langford let alone put up a competitive battle(or should i say competitive 12th round considering johnson manhandled him the entire other fight other than those 10 seconds when ketchell hurt johnson badly) against both
Gunboat Smith, and Fireman Flynn would disagree. Smith defeated a prime Langford, and Flynn gave him some tough matches too.
