Since it's you, I'll hook you up. Afterall, you do go through a lot of effort to keep this site running, and you're a family man. I wish you would punk that ***** ass, Bogotzo though.

Anyway, if you want to cure your rotator cuff and strengthen it at the same time, do this exercise often.

You know I'm not into that gay ****, but here is the best BJJ practitioner of all time doing the same stretch.

It's a tension stretch, so you're not just doing passive resistance, but stretching one side of your body by tensing the other. So, you're actively stretching which doesn't interfere with your myotatic reflex mechanism, which will make it less likely for you to injure it down the road.

I can't say for sure that Turkish get ups stabilize the shoulder, but as far as my own anecdotal evidence is concerned regarding an injured left shoulder, it absolutely helped my recovery. The thing you have to realize though, depending upon what's going on with your shoulder, like if it's a calcium deposit or tendonisis, it's could take a very long time to heal, but those excercises should expedite it.

If you're really interested in kettlebells, check out Enter the Kettlebell by Pavel. Most kettlebell experts say it's their Bible.

Just remember to use proper form. That's NUMBER 1. Avoid injury.

For the twist hold, use a towel to help you get closer to the point to where you can hold your hand. Just remember to take it easy. Don't force your body to be more flexible than it wants to be. Let it happen naturally.

Anyway, if you have any more questions, let me know. Like I said, I stick to Pavel's program minimum, which is in that book I recommended when it comes to kettlebells, but I'm heavy into calisthenics if you need any ideas.

I'm not down with that heavy weightlifting because I feel like a combination of kettlebells and calisthenics will give you both performance and longevity.

@ IB - For a shoulder warm-up/stability video, search for 'California Strength' on Youtube. They've got a great video that I use to warm-up and cool down with, as I get a bit paranoid if I don't do a thorough warm-up when training shoulders/Boxing etc. ;-)

Great!- but your segue between that and kettlebells seems lacking.
