I know, I know Amir Khan could box rings around Kevin every day of the week but Kev has an iron chin and he is fit as ****. He has enough power to starch Khan also. Khan would be on top most of the fight out boxing Kev but Mitchell would keep coming forward like Gomez did but Kev is not shop worn and is still in his prime. He would stop Khan by the 7th or 8th round. If Gomez had been at the level he was in 2001-2003 he would have beaten Khan tonight. Amir is talented and brave but he can be flash knocked down to easily. He might not get KO'd cold but you have to think if he suffered two knockdowns in a round and was on the wrong end of a flurry the ref would step in and stop it. Khan will always be dangerous though and has the skills and power to take his chin out of the equation in most fights.
Not saying I agree. I think this prediction has a chance though. Don't reckon Warren will be putting his golden egg in too soon though.
Khan v Mitchell will never happen in the near future. Its Arthur v Mitchellas the big domestic dust up. Goodness knows what Warren will do with Khan now that hes struggled to beat an old Gomez. I always said that Khan would be a big star here, but he was awful in the Gomez fight. No idea of inside fighting, & if he wasnt the much bigger, younger & faster man he would have been in serious trouble. I mean, im still shocked that Arthur managed to lose to a prime Gomez, that should tell the Khan fans that his struggle to beat an old Gomez should set alarm bells ringing.
Mitchell is far too easy to hit. He shipped some big shots in his last fight & took too long to adjust. Khan would stop him.
Don't know why you are shocked that Arthur 'managed to lose' to Gomez. They were clearly similar level fighters and a focussed Gomez would always give any version of Arthur hell. Anyway, I'm a believer in form lines, and it's looking like Mitchell - Khan would be a reasonable match. Using Johanneson and Gomez as a guide that is. Khan's size would be decisive IMO but these two lads aren't miles apart in ability.
Although I would now like to see this fight I can not ever see it happening and I still believe Khan would stop Mitchell in under 3 rounds. Big mismatch.
Khan would beat the **** out of him. Note that last night Gomez was constantly bobbing and weaving, and he mostly kept his guard fairly tight. That's why he was able to absorb a lot of the combinations or dodge them and thus last as far as he did into the fight. Mitchell would get stopped much sooner.
I rate both but Khan destroys mitchell. Khans not a world champion yet cos hes in a bad ass division, if he was super feather o light wleter he would be world champ.
I agree, at 140 Khan could definitely hold one of the three belts. Kotlenik looks the most beatable currently.
LOL. Khan is poor but Mitchell is even worse. Plus Khan is way too big for little Kev. Little Kev isn't exactly a big Super-Feather Weight. Khan needs to fight a fighter who is actually a natural lightweight.
