Could someone please explain to me what's so good about Alexander? Really, what does he bring to the table? I don't usually go in for this fighter is under/overated as it's all subjective and rather tedious but I am genuinely stumped here. I mean he was schooled by Captain Average himself in Kotelnik! Am I in bizzaro land?

Not that many on this thread are bigging DA to be fair.

I think most Brits think Kell has a more than fair chance. DA is lucky to have the prfile he does. He's pretty gun shy, and got a total humbling from Kotelnik IMO. I know Kell is farily untested at DA's level, but he not an unschooled fighter. For me DA is as risk free as it gets for Kell to move up to world level. Lets put it this way, they wouldn't be putting him in for a fight against a Berto or Guerrrero if it came up would they?

They already rejected Bradley before getting Alexander, so out of the 'elite' level fighters at WW, Alexander has in many peoples eyes already been beaten 3 times.

Let them think Brook as a soft touch, it will only play in Brooks favour come fight night.

Exactly my point. I don't think DA and his team can afford to take Kell lightly, when he was schooled by Kotelnik, a guy who i think Brook would beat right now. But let them take him lightly, as there's nothing i love more than a team of cocky yanks getting turned over properly in their own back yard

Yep, Kotelnyk is the type of fighter that's made for Brook, Kell could just pick him off and work behind the jab.

I can't see Alexander underestimating Brook though, on the other hand Cunningham sounds like he is.

True but the Jones would probably get stopped by Devon he does well against that style.

He probably would. Weird world boxing ain't it, how some guys who have far more talent would do worse against certain common opponents than others
