I believe that he spent many of his later years living rough in a park in Uxbridge. Terrible shame. Boxing just doesn't look after its own...

Would have dearly loved to see the fights with Hagler. Apparently Kevin, with a terrible cut, gave him hell for the last 3 rounds before it was called off by Duff. Anyone seen it and like to comment?

Yes very sad.. an old friend of mine James Broad , a very good heavyweight who faced Tony Tucker , Tim Witherspoon and Beat Eddie Gregg and Bonecrusher Smith never ever gave me the impression of a man in dire trouble in his personal life.. He always smiled and laughed Jovially, he was the life and soul of any party and when offered money by the retired boxers fund he said he was fine, he was completely broke but was too proud to take handouts, he put a brave face on his predicament and was found dead a few years ago , he had been sleeping rough as a homeless person in a bus shelter in Henderson NV.. he had pneumonia and never said a word to anyone...

Such a sad ending for such brave men...
