I saw the fight. I respect Mares ability and would bet that he'd be a slight favorite over Agbeko in a rematch. Agbeko for whatever reason didn't throw his jab nearly enough , instead he threw wide looping left hooks from about 3 feet away. His right was non-existent, but when he threw it, it hurt Mares. Mora's job performance was abhorrent. It was one of the worst I've seen in years. The connection with GBP is troublesome. It seem they had a playbook and were trying to use no how matter stupid he looked. Mora tried to rationalize that Mares was hitting low because Agbeko was pulling Mares head down. Which could of been the reason say 15% of the time, but the 85% was Mares didn't know if he wanted to throw a hook or uppercut. The fact Mora said he was mad at himself was even more telling, after watching a replay. Hahaha, at the very least stick to your guns and say you called it the way you saw it. Now, he's trying to be contrite. The man isn't qualified to ref a PAL tournament, let alone a professional fight. Just wrong on so many levels. :hat
"Saturdays card was the first major main event of a Golden Boy-promoted show that Mora officiated. Prior to that, the most high-profile Golden Boy fight that Mora worked was the April 9 lightweight title match between Robert Guerrero and Michael Katsidis. That fight ended without incident or controversy surrounding the referee." :huh wasn't this the fight where kats got docked for body punching
