Am not completely shocked. People who have met Floyd said he's a real nice guy. Floyd even in interviiews said he has a character to sell tickets, he was criticising other fighters becuase they have no personality to sell tickets.

Amir Khan even said Mayweather is a nice guy outside of boxing- When all the PED accusations started

Jones has been providing financial support toe Gerald for years dude. He did say it is hard for him to go visit him bc he doesn't want to see that while he is still fighting but he has seen him time and time again.

 

Im confused he usually seems like a total dick like when he did those immature videos on his channel and makes stupid comments a lot of the time.
Then sometimes he comes across as a normal guy, I dont think he would need the persona anymore at this point to sell his fights, he is big now anyway.
Nobody should say anything bad about this move though.

My personal opinion is he can be an ass like anybody. However I have heard the talk that people said that he was actually nice in person. I finally got to meet him at the delmar race when was "vacationing" and he was cool. He wasnt flashy or loud or being "money may". I asked him about his boots and how to just workout in his gym if I wad in the area. So he was humble.

Because of that one experience, I'm not gonna act like I know all about him now. I don't know how he is the majority of the time but I know more than what the ave hater on this board knows.

As far as genaro. He is really cool. I met him at la boxing and after his class he would sit down and talk to me about different fighters sometimes for up to an hour if it was slow. He would also give me private lessons for free vs making me pay la boxing fee. ($90 for 30min)

He told me that the staff there didn't really like him because they didn't see eye to eye on things. One being the fact of how much membership cost but then he would have to turn around and charge damn near another hundred dollars for 30. Among other things.

Respect for Floyd for doing this and helping out with medical bills. Same to Arum for helping as well. This is how things should be among fighters when real things in life happen.
