I'm not sure what you're getting at? I mentioned that Vitaly looked off and it was a wasted opportunity signifying that he could have made things interesting. Instead it was a wasted opportunity because Vitaly won a wide decision. So if you're trying to throw in the "and the fact is vitaly killed him..." as some sort of rebuttal maybe you didn't read my post, or comprehend it, or both.
How do you "beat the sh*t" out of a guy who isn't cut and goes the distance all the while not punching you? :think You think KJ could have pulled this crap with any HW of status? Tyson? Holmes? Lewis? Please!
Your posts on this thread are bull****. Johnson was so injured that no one mentioned it in the immediate aftermath of the fight. He was so hurt that he managed to grimace through the pain in order to mouth off, stick his tongue out, etc what a high threshold of pain he must have to endure such agony. There is nothing even remotely commendable about not throwing punches for the purpose of not getting knocked out. I'd rather see Arreola get starched and far more importantly, HBO would rather see Arreola get starched than suffer through another ducking and weaving exhibition from Kingpin. You also noted that Johnson looked "off." OK, who's he fought that's even close to Vitali's caliber? Lots of guys suddenly don't look themselves when they take a huge step up in competition. Sadly, by not attempting to compete, Johnson embarrassed himself, his family and American boxing on the whole. He's just concocting the post-facto rationalizations to try to finagle another TV appearance. He is a ****ing BUM.
KJ reminds me of that black dude in the epic beard man video, got his ass whooped then says "Ill whoop you ass"
So what do you call James Smith vs. Mike Tyson... why didn't Tyson blast him out?? What about Mavrovic or Akinwande with Lewis?? You want me to continue?? If a fighter refuses to engage the champ will look bad. Andrey
They should have withheld part of Johnson's purse. Obviously he came into the ring with no intention of even TRYING to win.
Not to derail the thread, but Mavrovoic vs. Lewis was a very exciting fight, and Mavrovic was there to fight and win. He had a warrior's heart, who gave LL a run for his money, which KJ not even tried. The LL vs. Mav fight is on Youtube, and I rewatched it recently.
