The American king of the trash talkers,Kevin "KingPin" Johnson is now being trained by Jeff Mayweather and says he will be champion no matter what. New interview: http://www.boxingnews24.com/2012/08/kevin-johnson-ill-definitely-be-a-champ/ Johnson went the distance with Vitali Klitschko but offered little offense and got the new name "Saftey Pin" in the process. He knocked out Alex Leapai and then lost in the Prizefighter finals to Tor Hamer. If this guy could throw more punches he could be really good. He has a great chin, great defense, great size and is a polarizing character. Funny Guy to say the least.
at first i thought is SR and didn't made much sense to me since KJ is already defensive minded then i see jeff. eh.
Johnson has very little self-confidence, that's why he's blabbing away like that all the time. A rematch with Hamer, a 10 rounder would be a good start to rebuild some credibility.
You dont think he has self confidence? I disagree. The only thing he needs to work on is his offense. His chin is solid, his defense. He stayed with Vitali too.

Maybe with Jeff Mayweather, swing to get on some Caballero or TMT undercards. I'm sure there is room for an American heavyweight name who will dominate 8 rounders against known but late subbed journeyman on the off TV card. That sounded sarcastic, but I'm serious. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Kevin Johnson open a PPV undercard against a top 20 HW as long as the matrchup had a shred of intrigue and rest of the card was stacked. I agree with this. That or push for Price, Fury, or Mitchell (if I'm Johnson).
