the issue is you previously had at least 5 potental winner now you have 2.

Matchroom need to look into what went wrong. When 50% of your advertised bill has withdrawn it means the event has not worked.

I still wonder what the prize money for this tournament is if it is the same as a usual PF or more?

Interesting hadn't heard anything but I assumed for some reason it would be different.

Goes to show the sort of figures needed to draw a big name to the UK. Im surprised that they got so many top level fighters to do this considering 7 of the 8 will go home with another loss on their record.

I still do not get it?

If you want to see a one night tournament of three, three minute rounds, they you watch the local toughmen tournament or better still the local amatuer club put on a show...

What is the appeal of this for a proper fan of Professional boxing?

Surely it is better to have:

    Sprott/Perez in a ten rounder

Tony/Fields as a eight round support

And the other four fighting in two even-ish six/eight rounders?

I think thats the issue. £32,000 is $50,000 US which they could probably get in an normal fight.. Johnson, Gomez and the names like Rahman and Jones Jnr have all has world title fights, have had 6 figure pay days.

The issue is Hearn went for names and not hunger. Prizefighter works best when you have prospects. We should of had 5,6 Mike Perez's

There isn't one im afraid to say but thats obviously not the fanbase either.

This is just the jazzed up local toughman tournament legitamised by it being a proffessional boxing tournament. Apparently this is the only way to get average Joe interested in boxing.

They want smaller fights they want knockouts its sad but the truth. A clever business idea by Matchroom no doubt but for boxing maybe not so much....

    There are no heavyweight prospects

Anybody who can string 15-20 wins together nowadays can get a shot. Why risk that.
