When is Joshua going to fight someone with punching power? Getting a bit ridiculous with these oppoents.

 

No need to rush him, but, if I was looking to be critical, the more pertinent question would be, "when is he going to fight someone who is capable of hitting him?".

 

According to boxrec AJ already has a "TBA" lined up two months after the Johnson fight.

Don't know if that means that AJ is looking past KJ or if it shows confidence.

 

AJ is not media hyped and i'm positive that he will win this fight

wtf has Johnson ever done in his career to talk about AJ like that? AJ is a future elite level HW.

 

This quote will be a nice meme after the fight with the image of him lying on the canvas trying to hold on to the lowest rope in despair.

It's hard to say. Joshua has been knocking out bums like Wilder.

 

Even if true Johnson will lose. Johnson never wins these kind of fights. He just turns up to survive.

 

He's only been a pro for 19 months and was out for 5 of those months with an injury. No need to rush him just yet. The fact he's facing someone as experienced as Johnson so early is actually pretty good progress.

 

He's been a pro 24 months, he's fought on average, every 2 months and none of those have taken him past 3 rounds.

Just because of those fights, doesn't mean you can just sling him in with a contender. He still needs to be very careful in finding opponents who gradually take him up to the top level (that includes getting rounds).

'Some' thought Sprott would take him a few rounds and give him experience. Kingpin is a logical and very decent step up in class for a 2 year pro to be facing. Let's see how that pans out first. If he wins comfortably, they'll be looking for more durable opponents and that will mean probable top 10 ranked, then it's a question as to whether that opponent wants the risk as AJ's not bringing a shed load of cash to the table....yet.

Joshua will do just fine.

 

Well the issue is while Johnson is experienced he doesn't throw any punches and he is feather fisted. Not really sure how Joshua is going to learn from that and won't be shocked if we see another David Price situation here where he has been too coddled and fails when they try and step him up because they kept feeding him a bunch of opponents that don't punch back.

 

Kevin knocks him out in the rematch.
