Who wins this match up? As sad as it is to say these might be the best two American heavyweight prospects right now. Johnson has a jab but has not shown much else. Minto has some power and likes to brawl. I think this could be a good fight because of the style match up, and it would put the winner in line to crack the top 15.

I can name 10 US heavyweight prospects off the top of my head who are better than or on an even level with Minto. I'm not sure I'd put him in the top tier of US HW prospects, as crappy of a tier as it is. KJ jabs his way to easy victory on this one. There's a reason Minto hasn't fought anyone better than Krasniqi.

I would like to see who the ten are? Because I don't see that many up and coming American heavyweights.

Eddie Chambers, Chazz Witherspoon, Jason Estrada, and Chris Arreola are all probably better than Johnson at this stage.

Minto to me is a walking cream puff and Johnson would be able to outbox him fairly easily, taking a wide and lackluster UD.

It would be nice to see one of these guys breakout, maybe Arreola can add a few touches to his arsenal and make some noise.

Let's just say I don't think very highly of Minto...

    Guys a level above:
    Chris Arreola
    Kevin Johnson
    Malik Scott
    Derric Rossy

    Guys on the same level:
    Chazz Witherspoon
    JD Chapman
    Travis Walker
    Raphael Butler
    Tye Fields
    Jason Estrada

Guys who could be better, but it's too early to really tell:
    Kasim Howard
    Ashanti Jordan

So 10 was probably a bit of hyperbole. Still, Minto is a short 33 year old with somewhat rudimentary skills and no great physical tools. He's not on my shortlist of prospects to watch.

Johnson by a damn near shutout. Johnson is good, great jab and defense. I think yuo ESB'ers are going to like him more when he fights more meaninfgul fights and has to work in there. These guys he is fighting now - he just seems like he is bored in there. His defense is top notch though i believe he will be champ.

Minto can't take a heavyweight punch and his defense is pathetic.

Whenever Krasniqi threw punches, he landed and Minto was hurt by every right hand and even by some jabs. When you can't take Krasniqi's shots (who never was a heavy hitter), you're no top prospect.
