Needs a brain scan if he thinks he's going to show Haye how to fight at HW by putting on a show against Vitali.

Only thing he'll be showing is how to leave the ring on a stretcher.

Anybody think he can take Vitali?

He's got nice skills and i think he has ability but if he fights his normal fight against Vitali he's getting a beat down. He needs to come with something to beat Vitali. I don't wanna write him off but he will need to be smarter and be more strategic against Vitali. He probably be ok for 4 rounds and as the fight wears on thats when i worry about him...

    He'd beat Haye.

Will probably not beat Vitali. :yep

May stay on his feet...that's a fine pyrrhic victory.

You really think he'd beat Haye? I think he lacks the power to beat Haye.

He's certainly physically stronger (based on more than just physical appearance). The more he steps up the more hidden "gears" he shows. I think he'd be able to keep Haye pretty honest, to be honest. David would never have eaten so much flush leather in his life from trying to rush and smother KJ (assuming he reverts to his CW style against smaller guys than Valuev - which could be a costly mistake), and that's before Kevin digs in his his bag of tricks and dusts off the power punches.

Wlad would snipe him pretty easily at this point (most disagree...and primed out they'd match up quite differently). He's more than a handful - or two hands full - for anybody else. The division's just crap.

I'm definitely pulling for Kingpin. He personally guaranteed me victory! :yep http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=176354

I normally like to add a bit depth to my arguments on here, but on this occasion...

Kevin Johnson = clown. Nuff said.

He's pretty good. Not sure if his style is going to transfer well in this fight. He's going to have to be more aggressive, there are not many counterpunching opportunities when fighting a 6ft 8 guy with a long ass reach who maintains distance.

He's gonna have to slip Vitali's jab, move his head, show some pretty good footwork and feints to get inside, where he can really make his slick defence and inside fighting tell. Vitali doesn't like it inside, he's old, he has injury problems. If Johnson can make it tough in there he has a chance.

I don't think Johnson should be looking past Vitali. Vitali by knockout.

Not seen much of him but he doesn't have anything on his record that suggests he can cope with Vitali, but you never know.

Last I saw, Johnson has no inside game and is pretty much a jab-straight kind of fighter.

    Only him and his trainer...

If Vitali is up for this Johnson will finish like the last Johnson to fight against Klitschko did... very badly.

Johnson has a serious rep as a non-puncher.
