Kevin "THE KINGPIN" Johnson has been labeled as a feather fisted HW. And that is far from the truth. Look at his record, KJ has a draw against Timor Ibragimov (Never Knocked Out) KJ has beat Robert Hawkins, who went the distance with power punchers David Tua and Denis Boytsov. Neither man KO'd Hawkins, yet KJ is deemed to be feather fisted. KJ also beat fringe contender Robert Wiggins (KJ's 6th pro fight). Wiggins has been tko'd TWICE. One was a corner stoppage, the other stopped b/c of a swollen eye. The KINGPIN beat Andrew Greeley by UD and the fans still called KJ feather fisted, yet when Travis Walker won a UD over Greeley, the same fans labeled Greeley as iron chinned. Kevin Johnson has beaten Terry Smith and Damien Wills easily. Remeber Chris Arreola struggled against Wills. KJ's last fight was against Bruce Seldon (KO 5). All the people said that Seldon was/is old, but he came to fiight. Seldon Ko'd Livian Catillo in 5 rds. Eddie Chambers also needed five rounds to dispatch of Castillo, so by "so called expertise" that would mean that Chambers and Seldon are equal in power. I challenge any one of you to find a prospect in the HW division right now (under the age of 30) that can equal KJ's resume. Not Travis Walker, Not Chris Arreola, Not Damien Wills, Not Denis Boytsov. NOBODY. All these prospects are fighting is bums. PEACE.
Well, with that Username I thought you could be Poop Malinowski...I guess not, because he recently slammed KJ.
kevin johnson is quite a talented fighter has a lot of variation /good jab/good combo`s good legspeed and handspeed when he wants to and has good size. what he does not have is great power for a heavyweight. decent power because of his handspeed but not concussive power. but a decent fighter and more talented than say arreola. does not mean he will go further though .
