What's everyone's opinion on Kevin Kelley? Hes mostly known for his exciting fights such as Dorsey, Gonzalez, Gainer, and Hamed. Has he accomplished enough to be considered for the IBHOF?

Very good fighter. He could be really great to watch, but I don't think he is a Hofer and I'm pretty sure he will never be inducted.

If he could have managed to stop Hamed I'd say definitely. Close but not quite for Kelley, he had a lot of potential and achieved a lot... but I think he could have done more.

Does it really change anything if there are 6 flies in the ointment instead of 5? IBHoF is a failure already.

I remember when he broke onto the world scene and had a few fights on HBO. I recall a comical HBO advertisement with him and Lennox Lewis both sitting in chairs, and Lewis saying something about him being the heavyweight. His chair broke out from underneath him and Kelley laughed saying " heavyweight, you ain't lying!!" But to answer the thread topic, no... As good and entertaining as Kevin Kelley was, I don't think he did enough to make the hall of fame. I really liked the man though.

Nope. Decent fighter, not HOF. The HoF should be reserved for the best of the best.

    like arturo gatti and rocky:lol:

its not the best of the best and has never been, its the hall of fame , the focus is on fame not talent

I see Kevin Kelley as on the same echelon as Buddy McGirt. A very good, elite fighter who had a very good career, but not quite HOF worthy.
