Maybe Chop Chop can be Sam Peters comeback opponent, then we can have a common opponent to compare the power.

If Peter could do the unthinkable and KO a guy even Maidana couldn't then I think he would have deserved a 4th fight with a Klitscko.

Kelly said Maidana has quick feet? I always felt he had slow feet, that said, Kelly has been in the ring with him so.........

What?!? Maidana's been his mandatory for a while. It's about time Khan fights somebody of relevance whom is actually dangerous. Barrera, Kotelnik, and Paulie are his only quality wins, please... Your posts today sound like you are content with boxers fighting nobodies for quite a while.

A while? He only became mandatory soon after the Salita fight.

The fact is, people thought he'd vacate, and he didn't, so he get's props for that.

To be honest, Khan could have quite easily picked his way to the top with his star power and Golden Boy behind him. They wanted him to fight Marquez - who they thought was ripe for the taking - or Katsidis/Casamayor. Maidana is a dangerous high risk/low reward fight for him, and he wanted it.

I'm honestly not surprised. Maidana isn't just a 'puncher'...he looks like he's a super hitter, someone with dynamite in those hands. Combine that with Khan's delicate chin, and you could possibly have a rather terrifying knockout. Khan's defence has never been great, either -- he's improved since Prescott, but now it needs to be better than ever.

Back during his youth, Kevin Kelley was a hard puncher too, if I remember right...and he sounds like he's in awe of Maidana's punches.

He wanted Marquez and Nacho thought it wasn't a good idea to fight a top contender at an uncomfortable weight (again.) Then Katsidis really wanted a chance at the belt and he was Marquez's mandatory anyway, so Khan's first choices-two lightweights- were out of the picture. Then he fights a light hitter for his US debut. Now, he's fighting his mandatory who is a hard puncher. I think Khan is a great fighter who will prove himself, but it's not like he was immediately jumping for the top tier the whole time.

khan didnt want it, he wanted casamayor, then he had his heart set on marquez, khan told maidana to "get in the queue". maidana had to threaten to go to the wba, to get khan to fight him.

    You are one silly ****er.

Casamayor was an OPTION as he wanted to stay busy because he had Ramadhan right around the corner, so if he didn't fight and take it, he wouldn't be able to fight till December, as he is now, moron.

Maidana went to the WBA because he ****ing wanted more than what's accountable. It wasn't worth it. Get your ****ing facts right.

Maidana NEVER wanted it in UK. Maidana only got the fight because Khan agreed with what Maidana WANTED.

I spoken to Khan's father on a personal level. I've spoken to him. He was on the phone day and night trying to sort this fight out and get it on.

Khan never backed out, which you thought he would do. He didn't vacate the title, which you thought he would do.

Instead, Khan smacked you in the face by taking the fight, which you DIDN'T think he would do.

Now get the **** outta here, hater.

Bottom line, I want to see Khan fight real challenges like he's doing now, not proclaim he's the best without proving it in the ring. If he does beat Maidana, then it has to be the winner of Bradley-Alexander.

The end result of those will justify the status recognition that goes with the best in the sport.

The best? Where has he said, he's the best?

If you mean, in the 140 pound division, then yes he's said it, but in many eyes, he is.

    Just look

Khan has looked great in recent time.

Bradley had an average but dominant performance against Abregu.
    Alexander lost to Kotelnik.
    Khan dominated Kotelnik.

Bradley calls himself the best. Alexander calls himself the best. Khan calls himself the best.

You have to have that mentality in your mind, otherwise you're getting nowhere.

And no it doesn't NEED to be the winner of Bradley/Alexander. These guys are laying their careers down at a very early stage. They can fight the winners of Judah/Matthysee or Ortiz/Peterson and then unify.
