I just don't see it. Kovalev has some brutal power. He made Hopkins fear for his life. The man put down Pascal who was touted as having an amazing chin. Pascal was walking around the ring like an effing mummy.

    Kovalev is the bigger puncher.

I agree with this. Kov seems more explosive with phenomenal power long range, but Ggg suffocates you with that pressure and if you make a mistake makes you pay for it.

Exactly, if we reverse their opponents, I think Kovalev would probably have knocked out more of GGG's resume than the other way round.

I think Golovkins power is overrated

Sparring partners of Wilder used to say that Wilder had enormous one punch power, and went on and on about how he is the next big thing is boxing.

Well, three fights with Stiverne, Molina, and Duhaupas show us what a crock of **** those rumors were.

I'm not saying Golovkin doesn't have knockout power, I'm just not sure if we can properly rank him in the top 10 when comparing overall power of the greatest middleweight hitters (accuracy and speed be damned in this discussion).

difference is, Wilder himself chose to fight Duhaupas and Molina, Golovkin on the other hand CAN'T get Quillin, Lee or any other top MW into the ring despite really wanting to

Yeah, and GG supposedly beat Kovalev up in sparring too. I don't believe hearsay. I'd rather hear it from the horses mouth.

LOL you just hate him because he's everything Floyd isn't. He's EXCITING, powerful, aggressive, doesn't settle for UD wins or leave in hands of judges, people love him and will be the PPV king not based on people hating him and watching just the off chance he gets beaten, but because people admire his style and get excited watching his fights. GGG is a warrior, Floyd is coward. Period.

When Kovalev was under Sanchez supervision, Golovkin and him were in the same gym and made some rounds together.

LOL how is crawford less proven than GGG? crawford has beat a former p4p undefeated guy in gamboa. before you cry about how gamboa was too small, he moved up a fight before, and it was 1 WEIGHT class LOL. cotto is really a 147, but you'd be sucking on ggg's nuts and giving him credit if he beat him right?
