This ring announcer is like the bâtard love child of Jimmy Durante, Corpsegrinder Fisher and David Diamante - and that isn't meant to be as flattering as however that sounds.

 

Why is the crowd barking?

They've got me half expecting Bron Breakker to run in and spear both of them.

 

10-9 Sadjo, doing a good job slipping the jab and smashing the left jawline of Palacio with an overhand right. Palacio staying aggressive though, and showing good chin.

 

Palacio switches to southpaw to start the second, interesting. He does seem a tiny bit more effective landing the right jab, but that could just be Sadjo taking a moment to adjust to a new look.

That short overhand right is a hell of a weapon for Sadjo, crunched one into Palacio's ear at point blank in a clinch by the ropes.

Sadjo warned for headbutts, although it didn't look to be anybody's fault. Palacio sold it like a soccer player.

Palacio doing a decent job of getting touches in, jabs and pendulous combos from medium-long range - but one of Sadjo's heavy overhand righs is worth about ten of his connects.

 

I'll be shocked if we go another ten rounds without a knockdown.

 

Sadjo needs to up his work rate and Palacio needs to sit down on his punches. Interesting match but not quite the slugfest the co-main was.

 

Sloppy third; Sadjo got frequently tied up and rendered ineffective with Palacio's gloves clasped around his neck in between getting flurried on.

For slow motion highlights before the 4th they just show one good sequence for Sadjo repeatedly, lol.

 

Bombardero playing a dangerous game, unloading combos and then grinding in to smother but risking getting belted.

Ref warns Palacio for holding. Good that he's being even-handed with the admonishments. Still think he's involving himself a little too much but at least it's both ways.

 

Close round, but DEP almost got himself put to sleep with a looping right as he leaned over the top rope. If that had caught him square and he hadn't been able to roll back with it, might've been game over.

Palacio now reduced to rapid slapping and then desperately flopping in and grabbing (sometimes simultaneously), as opposed to full fluid combinations and the more spaced-out strategic clinching he was doing before.

A couple of absolute corkers from Sadjo with the right hand, but nothing perfectly on the button yet. Feels like a matter of time...

 

Palacio is landing some body snatchers.

 

Palacio glommed onto Sadjo for the whole sixth and pumped away with underhanded body shots. Got either a warning or deduction for something just at the bell.
