Kevin Lerena vs. Roman Golovashchenko RBR.

The Smiths won't be there to rig the cards.... Fortunately for Larena - Golavashchenko isn't good at all.

 

If Lerena leaves the Emperors Palace to fight an ukrainain opponent in Baku he must be sure he is gonna win this.

 

That guy is South African, I think.

 

Who? Lerena is, Golovashchenko is Ukrainian. If Lerena is leaving his home palace then he better be sure to win, no judges to help him this time like in the past vs Kalenga and Nielsen.

 

Golavashchenko is a fairly narrow dog at about +200. I'm not sure of the guys actual ability and level considering his coddled resume. Sure looks nice on paper though.

 

Golavashchenko also dropped last couple of days. Started at +250.

 

Golovshehenko was lucky against Saglam. This should have been a loss. And we know that Saglam is nothing special. Golovshenko has maybe improved since then, but Lerena should still be the clear favourite. But the location of the fight makes it interesting. If Golovshenko reaches the final bell, he could get another gift.

 

Lerena's taking this fight away from home says everything. From what I've seen of him(only a match or two) I haven't been very impressed. Lerena actually won convincingly against a solid fighter in Kucher last time out. So he shouldn't have much issue here. Kucher even older and rusty due to inactivity> Golav.

I wonder if Lerena's people are trying to set up a match with Usyk by beating the Ukrainian CW ranked below him? Usyk has feasted on quite a few South Africans as well. Suffice to say if that's what they're looking to do it's a cashout for Lerena... He doesn't have a prayer against Usyk.

 

Kucher looked so limited and one geared in that fight, he basically slept walk around Larena.

Larena himself seems so limited... He can box a bit but doesn't seem to have much on his punches and doesn't exactly mix things up in there when he does box.

 

Golovshehenko is a cross between Golovking and Lomachenko.

Golotachenko has a bit of bodybuilderish look. A sign of a shitty gas tank.
