Look all I am saying is that ever second post by you and a few other is "you think that because he is Irish, you only talk about Irish boxers"

Yes, I follow the Irish boxing scene - of course I am going to want to discuss them, because that is the sector where my knowledge is deepest.

I am biased in my support of them - but not biased in my assessment of their ability.

    Its just soooooo ****ing boring!!

    Just give it a rest.

Ok, I will accept that but i don't appreciate the fact you brought into the argument that i'm Orange?...and started on a petty note. There's no need for that tone in a post Slap. I get on with most of the Irish lads on here who are Celtic fans and probably are Catholic and have totally different views to myself. This a boxing forum not a politics and faiths forum. So remember that when bring that type of argument to the table because i found that rather distasteful.

Anyways lets get back to topic..

You are right, I shouldnt have called you an Orange **** - I apologise, its not like me to be honest - I stepped over the line.

I am just a little sick of some of the posters on here that counter every argument by saying the Irish poster is biased when they are putting forward the counter argument for a British fight.

Just today slip&counter accused me of saying that I was defending sparring as being a good indication of how a fight would go because I was "trying to hype Dean Byrne".

Now imagine the other way around, if I had come on that thread and said that slip&counter is only saying sparring "meant **** all" in order to protect the credibility of Khan because he is British - I would be laughed off the board.

I just wish that British posters would stop bringing out nationality in every thread it been going on for some months on here and creates a bad atmosphere.

he has always sounded like that to be honest but yeah its got worse and yeah the Monaghan accent doesnt make a guy sound the sharpest.

He had a really bad drink problem and is only getting over it now - maybe that adds to it, I dont know.

I respect that mate and fair play to you for being honest.

I don't have a problem with your posts, sometimes i do when you get in them arguments with rob and co. But sometimes i see where your coming from and agree, i try to remain straight down the middle even when your knocking my boy Barker .

Problem for you is sometimes like Laz and Darni when you get into posting around same subjects people tar you with same brush. I know you got good knowledge and can contribute more to the forum then getting involved in wars on here pal. I seen your posts and i respect your thoughts.

I see your point on the sparring subject and agree with you, i like Slip he's a top fella and i think it's just people getting amped up about the sport they love. I actually agree with you about the sparring issue btw..i see there side of argument as well but i agree with ya.

Hopefully people can snap out of the nationalistic arguments that have started on here since Dunne-Munroe Debate and get back to good honest down the middle posting.
    :good

He's too slow, to have any impact over 3 rounds.......is it 3 rounds or 4...?

Maybe if it was over 12 rounds, he would stand a better chance, with his share size.

McBride has done well considering this:

(A snip from April 17 1998 Boxing News by Dan Herbert)

'Michael Murray may well of ended the career of Heavyweight Kevin McBride, when he stopped the Clones man in the third of a scheduled eight rounder.

It is hard to see how McBride comes back from this as he was completely lacking in the basics of skill and co-ordination.'
