Interesting. Mitchell has now showed us all that he can do a bit of everything. Brook, for me is still very much a work in progress. At this stage and if KM carried the weight I'd lean towards him on points.

    Brook via KO.

The Mitchell hype machine continues it seems.

I'm still not fully convinced by Brook or Mitchell. (Lets not forget that Mitchell isn't the first guy to completely out-box Prescott)

For me this fight would be about two things: 1) Can Mitchell fight at 140. 2) Does Brook know enough to beat Mitchell this early in his career.

If I was forced to make a prediction I'd say that Brook would just edge it.

Not by me mate, just putting forward an interesting fight:good.

Mitchell is nearly world class as is Brook, for me it would be a top fight with 2 very gifted fighters that can both punch and take a punch. Good pick em fight imo, id side with Mitchell...

Brook is edging world class. Mitchell has beat a totally overated puncher (who cannot box) in Breidis Prescott.

Brook would finish this in 6

The Mitchell hype machine is rolling because a lot of people thought he'd get his head ripped off. Lets not forget that Prescott is a dangerous, dangerous opponent for a lot of fighters at a certain level. A level that KM proved he is above.
KM done a job on him now there is hype surrounding him and rightly so. If the Katsidis fight ever comes off I believe KM will win it.

    I disagree.

Katsidis is no longer the crude slugger he was when we all started to notice him. He's not the best boxer in the World, and never will be, but he can work his way in well with a jab.

He will create oppotunities and, in my opinion, take Mitchell apart. In fact, if I was Warren, I'd keep Khan and Mitchell away from him.

Agreed that Katsidis is no longer the crude slugger but to say he would take Mitchell apart is way off the mark.

I'm a MK fan but I reckon Khan would box his bloody head off. If you're saying that he can work his way in well with a jab then it'd be a long night for him against Khan at 140lbs. I don't think Khan should ever go back to LW.

Katsidis for me would be the right guy for KM to go in with next. I'm not saying for definite that KM would win but I think it's the right step. But he wouldn't get taken apart.

Why would Brook fight anyone at 140, he hasn't made that weight for over 4 years

Bollocks, I wasn't reading properly and thought it was a fantasy match at 147 :patsch

In that case, Mitchell wins easily. Brook would have to starve to get to 140.

Brook is a far better boxer than Prescott and would hit just as hard being a Welter, he doesn't miss much and Mitchell's defence still isn't great. Avoiding punches which Prescott picks out of his boots is a totally different concept to avoiding ones a classy boxer throws with accuracy and intent. Why Mitchell would go to 140 after just having stepped up to 135 is beyond me too.

Katsidis however would rip him apart.
