Katsidis has alot more accuracy than Prescott so this fight will tell us alot more about Mitchell

He does need this fight, it's come to that kind of time in his career where we need to find out if he has got it or not. I am sure frank wouldn't be stepping him up now if he didn't think it was do-able

  3. Warren needs a new star, Mitchell might be just the man.

    Tough, tough fight though.

if he comes through this fight unscathed, what would you say his next logical move would be?
would you get another "name" on his record like barrera if he can be tempted (although i am sure MAB would want to put on a better showing than against khan) or someone like diaz?

  5. Not sure. I assume it would become the full WBO title when JMM inevitably vacates, or maybe he would have to fight again for the full version. I see no harm in a couple of easier defences after coming through a tough Katsidis fight. Eventually I'd like to see him tested further aginst a Valero or a Guzman/Funeka. Murray has to also be a potential future opponent, that would be some fight.

i though of valero, and it wouldn't be a bad fight, just wondering if he would be wanting to look upwards rather than downwards. Murray on the other hand seems to be moving backward under fat mick, rather than forwards. I feel sorry for the fella, as he should be getting these opportunities that mitchell is getting, i mean they have practically the same number of fights under their belt, and seem to have similar ability

  7. He'll get his chance. He's fighting for the Euro belt next isn't he? His time will come.

Not too sure if he is to be honest. Everything seems to be so wishy washy with mick. I hope he is. I suppose a match up with mitchell further along the line would be good.

He looks a small lightweight to me and totally maxed out at the weight. Even LWW will be a step too far. I wasn't totally convinced when he announced moving to lightweight but he looks relatively comfortable. He's definately no welter though

Mitchell will do what most fighters do nowadays; pick winnable fights at different weights for pointless straps rather than consistently going for tough matches.

Katsidis is a tough opponent; who wants to bet the next one won't be? Discounting Marquez, who I can't see fighting tooth and nail for the WBO.

But will his chin hold up? And does he have the ability?

Those are the important questions, rather than frame/physicality IMO

135 looks perfect for Kevin, maybe 140 in a few years, but 147 i dont think so.
