    On Mayweather/Pacquiao blood testing

"I think Mayweather's got a fair point with the testing. If someone won't take a drug test then there's a problem there, Mayweather's taken the test so what's the big deal? I'm not sure about Pacquiao's reason for not giving blood - that he feels weakened by it. I've never felt weakened giving blood, though maybe it's different for him."

On guys moving up multiple divisions and still looking unstoppable

"It's pretty impossible to win titles at flyweight all the way through to welterweight. I've come up from featherweight to lightweight. Now you try getting me up to middleweight. Even if I was lifting weights to reach that size I wouldn't be fit enough to box,I think the Americans have been doing it for years - they all fly through weight divisions but still look like He-Man."

On difference between Brittish and American fighters

"British fighters such as Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe were beating Americans at their right weights, but when we go up a couple of weights we struggle for strength. The Americans go up five weights and are still smashing people. That only happens in comic books. Roy Jones and Shane Mosley have been caught and something's happening out there. British fighters are clean but I wouldn't put money on Americans being clean."

What Mitchell meant is that Pacquiao is American when he trains in LA.

Pac is on roids. It's official. Call the police. Set up the trial. Burn him at the stake.

    Yay, sports are pristine again!

Ricky hatton weighed as much as 190 then shrinks down to 140, so how the hell can he be fighting them at his right weight?

it amazes me that there isnt more drug testing in boxing, i mean theres litterally peoples lifes on the line. other sports have drug testing it should go with out saying. bring in harsh penalties and it would soon clean up the sport.
For example in rugby a player tested positive for cocaine and was banned for two years and in boxing a boxer (we all know who) got caaught loading his gloves (dont need to remind anyone of the risto vs collins) and he only got a two year ban........

I weren't expecting this from Mitchell...fair enough, everyone has an opinion. But if he's looking at becoming a big star in boxing...I'm pretty sure he knows he will have to travel to America for the big fights out there, but I'm not sure the Americans will welcome him with open arms anymore.

i think he has a point, if drug testing was stricter in boxing a lot more fighters would be caught. and fighters that move up through multiple weight classes retaining power and strength have got to be more likely to be guilty. obviously not all succesful multiple weight jumpers are for example pbf, but quite a few are i reckon.

Man I respect Mitchell n all but he needs to calm down. If he wants his respect to continue he should be careful. After the Prescott fight he just start putting his mouth out a bit, but none the less, at the moment I respect the guy.
