http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=270730&cat=boxer his only defeat being a close decision loss to Ali Funeka (the guy who recently put an end to the career of zahir raheem), if mitchell can give this african chap a thorough spanking it will be a very exceptional win for the young daghanam lad
Feneki will destroy Mitchell in under a minute. 6'1" of speed and power. I had hoped Khan would run into Funeki.
Thats why he has fought countless debutants and a guy with no wins and 16 losses!! cant be that good, mitchell will win
cant really trust boxrec on african records. very much doubt any of those 0 or 1/2 fight guys will actually be novices.
he went the distance and lost a fight which could have probrably gone either way against a world class operator mitchell will need his A-game, Amidu seems a big hitter and considering how open mitchells defence is, the fight could turn out to be alot closer then people think
This is kind of reminiscent of when Pablo Sarmiento got brought in by Warren for Gary Ryder. A thankless, sink or swim like task that ended his career. Maybe they're not too sure about how far Mitchell can actually go.
I don't think anyone is quite sure about how far Mitchell can go..... He has been spoonfed countless bums and guys called up on 30 minutes notice, and has been hiding behind the now meaningless Commonwealth title before finally stepping up in class and showing plenty of heart to come back from the brink against Carl Johanneson. Whilst I like Carl, (Leeds lad!) for Mitchell to be taken to within one punch (pretty much) of losing I fail to see him getting beyond European level. As a Sports Network fighter though, that probably translates to inter-alphabetty level. He is good to watch, and seems a decent lad, but his habit of blocking punches with his face doesn't bode well IMO.
ashie gave mitchell a fairly decent workout though. an ashie standard fighter with more power would be a decent contest for him. cant really expect much more from a mandatory commonwealth defence.
