kevin mitchell is the number 1 contender for burns title

The diffrence being Ricky beat the world class opponentsin front of him and Kevin didnt! or have i missed somethingatsch

 

Mitchell will struggle to get his shots off IMO. Burns will go backwards and tale Kev's edge, I'd favour Ricky to win this one.

Surely Frank will make it soon? Burns Vs Crolla is an absolute joke of a fight, though sure Dunkey et al will spout the 'Crolla lost less rounds than Morales' or whatever they can to justify the defence.

 

What a shock. At least he is coming off of a good win against the European champ.

 

Id like to see Burns fight Lundy next decent test and a lot better than Mitchell

I'd like to see Burns fight Mitchell . I like Burns i like Mitchell . It would be entertaining . Theres not much between them in terms of ability . It would get people talking , sell out live , this place would be buzzing , who ever wins Frank will still be happy and get to keep it in house . Its a no brainer .

'obviously tyson in 6-12 months time would be an interesting fight, but in the meantime I have a very exciting fight lined up for Ricky in February up here in Glasgow. Ricky's just decisively beaten Katsidis (a highly regarded top LW in the world who was expected by many to walk through Burns) , anything other than a top 5 LW is going to be dissapointing , but expected given Franks matchmaking , Ricky wants the fights , he'll get them eventually !!!

First you're saying you have no say in who Ricky fights (his SFW defenses) and now you're saying Mitchell doesn't deserve a shot. If what you've said before is anything to go by, then tough **** because you don't have a say (according to yourself) and if you do have a say then it put's you firmly back in the firing line for not turning down the **** defenses in the first place. Make your mind up time Billy, do you have a say or not?

Ok , so Ricky is now a world renound LW yes ?? , rightly so IMO , after all he's off the back of a one sided , well rounded win over Katsidis , why does he get a free pass ?? , he's just fresh of a statement saying he wants Marquez and you say he has earned the right to fight a stocking filler ?? , matchmaking doesnt always turn out the way you want it granted , but surely he and his team want a name , i mean surely !!! , momentum and all that ............... yes ???

David Diaz is a crab , he's a one dimensional B level fighter , he's lucky to be top 15 in the world , he isnt the type of guy id like to see Burns out against next :deal

Im not critising Ricky Burns here , quite the opposite , the guy's just called out Marquez FFS :deal , kudos , his promotional team need to stop giving us these meaningless fights and get him out against top level opposition , why cant Burns Mitchell be made in March ??? ............ whats the problem
